MUMBAI: Abhay Deol and Raima Sen will star in Shemaroo’s home production titled Manorama Six Feet Under, which is said to be a remake of Jack Nicholson starrer Chinatown. The movie will be directed by newcomer Navdeep Singh and will go on the floor on 20 December.

Shemaroo’s Ketan Maroo says, “We have signed Abhay Deol and Raima Sen to star in our next home production titled Manorama Six Feet Under. After our co-production Omkara with Kumar Mangat, this one will be our is our solo production.”

However, Maroo denies that the film is a remake of the Hollywood film. “It is not a remake of Chinatown. Though it based on that film, Manorama Six Feet Under, revolves around the water scandal episodes. Meanwhile we are on the verge of finalizing the entire star cast and we will commence the shooting in Rajasthan from 20 December. The budget of the film will be finalised after the remaining cast and crew are finalised.”
