MUMBAI: Abhay Deol and Sonam Kapoor will begin shooting for Anil Kapoor Film Company’s Aisha by the end of August.
New breed actor Abhay Deol is the confident type and devoid of any insecurity.
The actor revealed to Businessofcinema.com, "I have been working non – stop for three back to back films and I finally decided that I needed a break. That’s why I left for New York. New York for me is a place that gives me complete freedom and as I had spent three years of my life as a student, I sometimes feel that it is my second home."
So after the release of Dev D, Abhay took time to understand what he wanted in life. Instead of jumping on the bandwagon of signing deals with big banners or accepting lucrative offers, Abhay preferred his own company to assess the kind of films he would prefer to do. And after reading many scripts, the actor zeroed in on Anil Kapoor’s home production, Aisha.
Currently both Abhay and Sonam are attending workshops to get a feel of the film, which is based on Jane Austen’s novel, Emma.
Aisha has a start to finish schedule, and is a set up, which Abhay feels most comfortable in. He said, "I can be in my character throughout the making of the film, which then gives the film a uniform feel. And the audience also can feel that consistency."
