MUMBAI: Sonika Gill, more popularly known as Vivian the vamp of the film Ram Lakhan is making a comeback after a 16-year hiatus. She has done over 25 films including First Love Letter, Bhai Bhai, Ghar Ki Izzat, Jeena Marna Tere Sangh, Tiranga, Kachchi Kali, Clerk and Kalyug Aur Ramayan.
“I have signed a film for director Akash Pandey with new comers in the lead,” confirms Gill. “I am doing a supporting role with veteran stars like Annu Kapoor and Satish Kaushik.” The untitled film has her in the role of a beautiful modern woman who is constantly being wooed by men. The shooting of the film is to commence from May 5 in Goa.
Ms Gill was last seen in T.P. Aggarwal’s Prem Jaal with Madan Jain in 1999 before she moved to Dubai to work as a hostess at Hotel Moghal Room there. During this time she also acted in a Punjabi film Yaara Naal Bahaara which was a hit in Punjab and London. The lady now has four good film offers in hand and plans to stay back in India.
