Actors Rishi Kapoor and Sridevi to get FICCI award

MUMBAI: FICCI Frames 2008 will be honoring veteran actors Rishi Kapoor and Sridevi with the FICCI Living Legend in Entertainment Award.

Last year, the award was given to superstars Kamal Hassan and Rekha.

FICCI Frames 2008 is slated to be held from 25 – 27 March in Mumbai. Kapoor and Sridevi will be presented with the award on the concluding day of the convention.

Rishi Kapoor, the son of legendary filmamaker and actor Raj Kapoor, made his acting debut as a child artist in 1970 with Mera Naam Joker. His first film as a lead actor was Bobby in 1973 opposite Dimple Kapadia. Some of the other movies that he has worked in are Namastey London, Fanaa, Hum Tum, Damini, Bol Radha Bol, Henna, Chandni, Karz, Amar Akbar Anthony, Kabhie Kabhie, Yeh Vaada Raha amongst others.

Sridevi started her acting career at the age of four. She has starred in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. Some of the Hindi films to her credit are Chandni, Lamhe, Chaalbaaz, Sadma, Jaanbaaz, Mr India, Khuda Gawah, Chandramukhi, Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Laadla, Judaai amongst others.
