Actress Diana Haydn had gone to Barcelona, Spain to anchor the 2006 ‘Laureus World Sports Awards’, and she ended up having the ride of her life. Diana zipped at a speed she had not imagined possible when the world’s best Formula 1 racing champion Mika Hakkinen asked her to accompany him on a drive in the fast lane.
Not willing to miss the adventure, Diana donned the professional racing suit, and stepped into his AMG-Mercedes for a spin on the F1 race track. “What an adrenalin rush! It was not only euphoric, but little dizzy too,” she quipped stepping out of the race car. No doubt Diana felt like that. After all, the car speed was a whizzing 285 km per hour!
