Adlabs backs Milan Luthria’s next

MUMBAI: Adlabs has roped in Milan Luthria to direct a film.


A reliable source informs that the film, yet untitled will star Sanjay Dutt and John Abraham in the lead. The film is said to be a remake of the 1990 Hollywood classic Dick Tracy and will be funded by Adlabs.


Praveen Nischol of Adlabs says, “We are gearing up our production activity in a big way and are signing up few directors to handle those projects.”


Luthria was unavailable for comment. Meanwhile, it is said that he is busy giving the final touches to UTV’s Hattrick. The film revolves around cricket and is being planned for a 16 March release worldwide to coincide with the Cricket World Cup 2007, which begins from 13 March. Hattrick stars Nana Patekar, Kunal Kapoor, Rimi Sen and Danny.


Lutharia had ventured out as a director with Kachche Dhaage in 1999 has made films like Chori Chori in 2003 and Deewar – Let’s Bring Our Heroes Home in 2004. Last year he delivered a hit with Taxi No. 9211, starring Nana Patekar and John Abraham.
