Mumbai: Adlabs’ BIG 92.7 FMâ€™s Mumbai station launches today, marking the sixth launch of BIG 92.7 FM in the country.
On the eve of its official launch Tarun Katial COO, BIG 92.7 FM introduced his RJs, some of whom include known names like Shwetha Tiwari, Pallavi Joshi, Vrajesh Hirjee, Abhijit Sawant, Sunil Pal and RJ Anirudh. To ensure the highest aspirational appeal and connect with its listeners, BIG has signed on Abhishek Bachchan as its brand ambassador.
Commenting on BIG 92.7 FMâ€™s entry into Mumbai, Katial said, â€œWe have been receiving very encouraging response from all the cities that we have launched in. We are especially excited about Mumbai, due to our starry line up of celebrity RJs and our innovative show mix. The programming mix of the Station has been put together after much research and understanding of our listener’s requirements. We are looking forward to entertaining the city of Mumbai.â€Ã‚Â
With an investment of Rs 400 crore dedicated to transmission, equipment, infrastructure and licensing, the proposed network will be the largest ever. BIG aims to touch 200 million listeners, which is, every fifth Indian across the country, every third urban Indian and every eighth Indian in rural areas.
BIG is poised to create its pan India presence spanning across 45 cities, 1000 towns and 50,000 villages. After Mumbai, the next phase of launches will take the radio station to several mini metros, some of which will include the virgin markets of Jammu, Srinagar and Aligarh.
