MUMBAI: Adlabs Cinemas launched its second Pune property on 25 May 2007.
A four-screen multiplex, it has a seating capacity of 1323, and is spread over 37,000 square feet at Premier Plaza in Pimpri-Chinchwad, near the old Mumbai-Pune highway.
The new Adlabs property will have four screens, food kiosks, a convenient parking facility, the latest surround system sound and the widest screens in the city.
Adlabs Cinemas COO Tushar Dhingra says, “For our second cinema in Pune, we zeroed in upon Chinchwad because it is an industrial area where several corporates and colleges are situated. Also, upcoming residential projects and a rising mall culture in the area will provide us with a ready and quality conscious audience.”
Adlabs Cinemas is currently spread over 19 properties and 69 screens, in the country. It recently acquired Rave Entertainment’s cinemas business consisting of 23 screens in Delhi/NCR, UP, Punjab and Haryana, and has also opened another four screen property in Vashi, Mumbai.
It is in the process of launching two more properties in Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.
