Adlabs records 42 per cent growth in revenues

Mumbai: Adlabs Films Limited, a member of the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group announced its results for the year ended 31 March 2008.

As this is a nine month period, the audited results would not be comparable with those of the last financial year, which was a 15 month period.

Adlabs logged growth in all its business segments:

The cinema division revenue at Rs 127 crores grew by 86% on annualized basis. At 166 screens, Adlabs is the largest cinema chain in the country.

The film processing and allied services revenue at Rs 67 crores, recorded a 16% increase over the previous year on annualized basis.

The content production and distribution business at Rs 143 crores this year saw a total income growth of 50% on annualized basis.

Adlabs CEO Venkat Devarajan said, "We see a strong year ahead sustained by several big releases in the forthcoming quarters such as Sarkar Raj, Love Story 2050, Singh is Kinng and more. Our exhibition division is in a major growth phase with the setting up of chains in the US and Malaysia, as well as the continuation of our expansion within India."
