MUMBAI: The newest entrant in the music and home video industry, Reliance ADAG’s BIG has appointed Shweta Agnihotri as its chief operating officer.
Agnihotri will report to BIG Music and Home Entertainment chief executive officer Kulmeet Makkar. She comes on board from Saregama, where she was vice president for films, home video and events. Her stint with Saregama lasted 14 years.
At BIG Music and Home Entertainment, she will manage audio acquisition and marketing, home video acquisition for local and international content, new business including events and group synergies between various verticals of BIG for maximum revenue generation.
Commenting on her appointment Makkar says, “I am glad to have Shweta Agnihotri on board. Her caliber and experience will give a major boost to BIG.”
The BIG Music and Home Entertainment team now comprises Ambar Basu (ex-Radio City CFO) as chief financial officer, Shweta Agnihotri (ex-Saregama VP films, home video and events) as chief operating officer, Arvind Rajawat (ex-Saregama and Eros) as sales officer, J K Ray (ex-Zee Bangla) as regional officer North and East, R Murli (ex-Vanilla Music, Dubai) as regional officer West and South. These executives report to Makkar.
The operations at Kolkata and Chennai offices have begun and the offices too will be launched soon.
