Music director Bappi Lahiri sent a legal notice to the producers of Toonpur Ka Superrhero, stating that one of the characters, Guppy resembles him and has also been named Guppy Lahiri, after him.

Lahiri’s notice says that it wrongly gives the impression that the composer is part of the film. In view of the said facts and circumstances, the notice urges the makers of Toonpur to delete the character Guppy from the movie, and change the getup and persona of Guppy so that it doesn’t have any resemblance to him. He has also asked them to issue a public apology.

Speaking to Businessofcinema.com producer Kumar Mangat said, “Yes we have received a legal notice from Bappi Lahiri and our legal department is looking into it.”

Toonpur Ka Superrhero is all set to release on 24 December, 2010.
