MUMBAI: Akshay Kumar moves from the sets of one film to another with effortless ease. For an actor at the top of the rung, his pace is difficult to keep up with. The actor has not taken a day off in the new year and has been shooting for as many as three different films in the last three months.
Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, Akshay sheepishly admits, “I started the year with the promotional campaign for Chandni Chowk To China Town, which saw me crossing different continents every day. After that whirlwind trip, I started shooting for De Dhana Dhan. Then Blue started. Kylie Minogue came down and we shot a song with her. I have also completed my shooting for that film. And now I am on the sets of Action Replay.”
Akshay is shooting in Karjat with his favourite film maker Vipul Shah with whom he has done movies like Aankhen, Waqt, Namastey London amongst others.
Akshay will wrap up the shooting for Vipul’s first schedule and move on to action pastures of Fear Factor. Post that the actor will resume the last leg of shooting for Ratan Jain’s De Dhana Dhan in Singapore and London till mid May. Kambhaqt Ishq is tentatively scheduled to release on 29 May.
Akshay sums up, “You should make everyday count. You are only going to be a day older tomorrow, so try to do as much as you can today. I cannot do one film in a year. It is wasting resources, time and energy. I want to stretch my innings by doing good work every day.”
