MUMBAI: "If all negotiations proceed as planned, the trailer of Aloo Chat will release with Raaz on 23 January. If not with Raaz, then perhaps some other film, but 23rd is locked for the release of our trailer," says the director of the film, Robby Grewal.
Aloo Chat has been produced by Mirchi Movies and Maverick Productions. Grewal, who had earlier directed Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar (‘MP3′) and Samay, has directed Aloo Chaat. For his third project, the director chose Aftab Shivdasani and TV actress Aamna Shariff. Aamna will be making her debut with this film.
Described as a realistic comedy, the film saw the lead couple move into a more intimate relationship whilst it’s shooting. This certainly led to more publicity for the film, but for once, the producers are enjoying the publicity.
Aloo Chat’s release date has been finalized. With exams and the IPL matches taking the bulk dates of March, April and May, one can enjoy the funny, quirky comic caper on 27 February before the exam fever hits Indian families.
