Anupam Kher to launch two films

MUMBAI: Anupam Kher’s next directorial venture, initially titled Happy and Gay, has now been re-christened Pyaar Hai Toh Keh Do Yes.

Kher’s other venture in the pipeline is titled Homeland. Both films are being made to cater to both national and international markets, it is learnt.

Says Kher, “I have written the script for PHTKDY. We still need to finalise the cast. It will portray a new age romance between three actors and five actresses. I will direct this film, while my other film, Homeland, which is set in Kashmir and revolves around a father and son, will be directed by Ashok Pandit. Both will be launched soon.”

Kher had last produced Bariwali in 1999, which was directed by Rituparno Ghosh, and Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara in 2005, which was written and directed by Jhanu Barua. Kher also directed a commercial film, Om Jai Jagdish, in 2002.
