MUMBAI: Actor-director Makrand Deshpande has signed Anupam Kher to play the protagonist in his forthcoming film.
Says Deshpande, “The film is produced by my friends Rabbi and Sunil Poladia and is an adaption of my hit play, Karodon Mein Ek. Anupam Kher will play the role I portrayed in the play. It revolves around the protagonist, a successful businessman, who loses everything but is not ready to admit it, and the trauma his family undergoes. We are finalising the rest of the cast and the film will mount the sets soon.”
This will be Deshpande’s fourth film. His third film, Dream Man, is currently under production. This film, which stars Kay Kay Menon, too has been adapted from his play.
