Applause’s Swami, Kaushik asked to resign

MUMBAI: Aditya Birla Group’s film and television production house Applause Entertainment has lost two of its top executives.



 


According to sources close to the development, the company’s CEO Anshuman Swami and vice president administration Anil Kaushik have been given the boot.




When contacted by Businessofcinema.com, Swami says, “I have tendered in my resignation at the company. However, there were no problems whatsoever. I have already served my notice period with the company.”




On the other hand, Kaushik citied personal health problems as the reason for leaving the company.
“The management was not happy with the working ways of the duo. Realizing the activities that were going on, the top management from the Birla Group showed them the door this morning,” reliable sources inform Businessofcinema.com.




Applause Entertainment is involved in production of feature films and television software. Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukherji starrer Black was the last film that the company made in association with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The company also has various television shows across channels like Zee TV, Sony and Star.
