MUMBAI: Arena Animation has been conferred the Maharashtra IT Award 2007, by Government of Maharashtra, for its contribution to animation and IT in Maharashtra.

Aptech Ltd executive director and Arena Animation global head R Krishnan received the award at a ceremony in Mumbai from the Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh.

V K Jairath (Principal Secretary Industries), Shivaji (IT Secretary – Govt of Maharashtra), Ashok Chavan (Minister industries & Mines, Cultural Affairs, Protocol) M S Malini (Development Commissioner) and Vijay Kalantri (President All India Association of Industries, Mumbai) were also present on the occasion.

Said Krishnan, “We are very honored to receive this award from the state government as a recognition of our efforts in providing animation and IT Training. It is our constant endeavor at Arena Animation, to keep pace with the fast growing industry needs and technological developments and ensure best of placement to our students.”
