MUMBAI: Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision, producers of the film Blue, hosted a party on Friday night to announce the shooting completion of their film and also unveil the film’s look.
In attendance from the cast and crew were producer of Blue and managing director Shree Ashtavinayak Dhilin Mehta, director of Blue Anthony D’souza, actors Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta, Zayed Khan and Kabir Bedi along with Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue. Minouge has been in Mumbai city for a week to shoot a song with the cast of Blue, which she had earlier recorded with music director A R Rahman in London.
Blue boasts of a massive Rs 100 crore production budget, with a bunch of international crew members and India’s Oscar winners A R Rahman and Resul Pookutty. The film’s cinematography is by Pete Zuccarini (Pirates of the Caribbean), action direction by James Bomalick (Indiana Jones).
Blue has been shot underwater in Bahamas and also in Bangkok. “Blue will release in the year 2009,” Mehta announced at the event.
Also present at the event were senior management from various other film entertainment companies and potential buyers like Studio 18 CEO Sandeep Bhargava, T series chairman and managing director Bhushan Kumar, Big music and home ent. COO Sweta Agnihotri, Saregama Music CEO Atul Churamani, Moser Baer entertainment CEO Harish Dayani amongst many others. Also on the invitee list were senior management from various financial institutions.
