Gowariker said, "It is a genre that I have always loved, my most favorite ones being Roman Holiday, When Harry Met Sally, all of Frank Capra, amongst several others. I am also a great fan of Chupke Chupke and all the romantic comedies of Hrishikesh Mukherji and Basu Chatterji. It is a genre that I had always wanted to attempt and now I have got the opportunity to do so through What’s Your Raashee?"

The film is presented by UTV Motion Pictures and Ashutosh Gowariker Productions and will be jointly produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Sunita A. Gowariker. Other credits include lyrics by Javed Akhtar, music by Sohail Sen, screenplay by Naushil Mehta & Ashutosh Gowariker, dialogues by Naushil Mehta, costume design by Neeta Lulla, art direction by Nitin Desai and the director of photographer is Piyush Shah.
