MUMBAI: After Ready, Asin is riding an all-time high. Just as she was flooded with offers after Ghajini and had said no to innumerable offers, she’s now spoilt for choices. However, this time round, she isn’t saying no.
The actress, who was approached to play the romantic lead opposite Abhishek Bachchan in Rohit Shetty’s remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Gol Maal called Bol Bachchan, has now said yes to the project.
The role was played by Bindiya Goswami in the original.
Asin had earlier turned down a role opposite Abhishek Bachchan in Ashutosh Gowariker’s Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se eventuating in many raised eyebrows and also the belief that Abhishek was enormously miffed with the lissom South Indian actress for turning down the role.
A source tells Businessofcinema.com, “Asin had absolutely no problems working with Abhishek. It was the role that she hadn’t liked in Gowariker’s film. Now when she likes the part in Bol Bachchan, she is absolutely cool working with Abhishek.”
When contacted Asin said, “I’ve been approached. Beyond that I don’t want to say anything right now.”
However, we know that it’s going to be her next Hindi film after Housefull 2.
