MUMBAI: Producer-director B Subhash’s children are reviving their father’s legacy with a musical film.
The film, titled Jhoom – Dance With Me Again, is fast nearing completion.
Subhash has been known for films like Apna Khoon, Zalim, Taqdeer Ka Badshah, Disco Dancer, Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki, Adventures Of Tarzan, Aaj Ke Angaarey, Dance Dance, Love Love Love, Divine Lovers, Dulhan Banoo Main Teri and the last, Dance of Love, which was released in 2005.
Music and dance were always integrally woven in Subhash’s films, and he shared a good rapport with actor Mithun Chakraborty, with whom he made innumerable films on the same lines inlcuding Disco Dancer, Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki and Dance Dance.
Being made under the banner of Aaishwarya Movie Productions, the new film is being produced by Aaishwarya Babbar, directed by Shweta B Subhash and written by Malveika B Subhash. Bappi Lahiri has provided the music score.
Says director Shweta Subhash, “We feel happy to unite as a team of producer, director and writer. We are following our father’s formulas of making musical entertainment with dances. The film is for the younger generation and at the same time, a complete family entertainer. A major portion of the shooting has been canned. Of late, we have recorded one more song in the voice of Adnan Sami.”
The film stars newcomers Aziz Onjeli Nair, Bobby Sainiyol, Tashu Kaushik and Sofea.
