Bappi Lahiri-starrer It’s Rocking Dard–E–Disco launched

Mumbai: Music director Bappi Lahiri is all set to make his debut as an actor with Director Ashok Tyagi’s film It’s Rocking Dard-E-Disco. The film is being produced by Dhumketu Punatar Films in association with Mukesh K. Singhaal’s Moviearena.

The film is a musical comedy where Lahiri plays a business tycoon who owns a chain of nightclubs in Mumbai. The film launched with its first song recording. Shaan has lent his voice for the song.

IMPAA president T.P.Agarwal and Moviearena CEO Mukesh K. Singhaal were present at the recording.

Lahiri says, "Yes I loved the subject and the character that I am playing goes well with my image. I am called the disco king in the film, I love SRK, and the title of the film is based on his hit song ‘Dard-E-Disco’ from Om Shanti Om. I have just worked on a song with him."

Punatar adds, "Bappida is an interesting character and he is always smiling and very jovial. When I was working on the characters, I immediately thought of Bappida for this particular role. When I was speaking to him about the music for my film, I thought I should speak to him about the role in the film. He was kind enough to agree to play a disco king who owns the most happening night club in Mumbai."
