BBC World scores hattrick at Promax Asia

MUMBAI: BBC World was conferred with three awards, two Gold and one Silver, at the Promax Asia Conference 2007, held on the 14 – 15 November at The Art House in Singapore.


 


The awards bagged by BBC World are:


 


Best Integrated Marketing Campaign for the BBC World India Brand Campaign – Gold.


This is the channel’s first-ever  India Brand Campaign entitled ‘What Affects the World, Affects You’ The localised advertising campaign included three creative applications, each depicting an international news event and how it could impact people in India. 


 


Best Print Campaign for World News Today – Gold


The tune-in campaign for consumer and trade media showed how World News Today, with main presenter Nik Gowing presented not just the major international headlines but also their impact on Indian audiences. The campaign communicated, how World News Today keeps audiences updated about happenings around the world so they you are better prepared for tomorrow


 


Best Print Ad – BBC World India and Pakistan ’07 Season – Silver


The print campaign for India and Pakistan 07 on the channel looked back at a well-documented past and also explored the present and what this might hold for the future for the two countries.


 

BBC World India head of marketing and communications Vaishali Sharma said, “We are happy and proud with the three awards that we’ve won.
