MUMBAI: UTV Motion Pictures’ and director-producer Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion, which released on 29 October, has grossed Rs 500 million (Rs 50 crores) worldwide in two weeks.
UTV Motion Pictures CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur says, "The movie has done a business of Rs 500 million gross worldwide."
Bhandarkar along with the UTV team and the cast and crew of Fashion came together on Friday night to celebrate the success of the movie.
Going by the figures, while the movie managed to gross Rs 336 million (Rs 33.6 crores) in its first week, the second week business is Rs 164 million (Rs 16.40 crores) worldwide. Out of this, the India gross collections stand at Rs 400 million (Rs 40 crores).
Seen at the party were Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Mughda Godse, Arbaaz Khan, Malaika Arora Khan, Arjan Bajwa, UTV’s Ronnie Screwvala, Deven Khote, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Ram Mirchandani, Percept’s Shailendra Singh, Ashok Ahuja, director Anurag Basu, Sudhir Mishra, actor Neil Nitin Mukesh, Smita Thackery and Shama Sikander amongst others.
