Bhojpuri awards postponed to 25 March

MUMBAI: The second Bhojpuri Film Awards (BFA) function, scheduled to be held on 16 February, has been postponed to 25 March 2007.


 


Actor turned politician Govinda has been appointed the official brand ambassador of the awards that will be held at the Goregaon Sports complex in Mumbai. The actor will also perform at the event, it is learnt. Bhojpuri superstar Ravi Kissen will make his first big public appearance at the event after his reality show Bigg Boss stint and is also expected to put in a live performance along with other actors from the industry.


 


The event is being produced by the Bhojpuri World Magazine and Go Fish Opportunities. Says the magazine’s founder Vinod Gupta, “We felt the need to give the Bhojpuri industry its due importance and honour, hence we instituted the awards last year.”
