Big Home Video releases Oscar winner An Inconvenient Truth on DVD

Mumbai: BIG Home Video, in association with Paramount Home Entertainment Global releases An Inconvenient Truth, on home video. Winner of two Oscars, the film offers a passionate and inspirational look at former US Vice President Al Gore’s fervent crusade to halt global warming’s deadly progress in its tracks, by exposing the myths and misconceptions that surround it.

In this eye-opening film, Gore brings out the truth about what he calls our "planetary emergency" out to ordinary citizens before it’s too late.

With incidents like the recent floods in Bihar, and the 2006 rain storm in Mumbai, it seems we may be reaching a tipping point – and Gore pulls no punches in explaining the dire situation.

The film which won 2 Oscars – for Best Documentary and for Best Achievement in Music written for motion pictures, brings home Gore’s persuasive argument that we can no longer afford to view global warming as a political issue – rather, it is the biggest moral challenges facing our global civilization.

Special features in the DVD pack include an update with Al Gore, the making of the movie, "I need to wake up" Music Video by Melissa Etheridge, Commentary with Director Davis Guggenheim and with producers of the movie. The DVD pack has been priced at Rs 499. BIG Home Video has also released a Hindi Dub of the film, on VCD format, at Rs 69.
