BIG Music’s Marigold album released

MUMBAI: Adlabs managing director Manmohan Shetty, BIG Music CEO Kulmeet Makkar and Salman Khan together released the music of Marigold yesterday. Since its inception, Marigold marks BIG Music’s third release, other two being Anubhav Sinha’s Cash and Tamil film Kireedam.

Marigold also marks the entry of music directors Shankar Ehsaan Loy into the international arena, since it is a Hollywood film and will be released internationally. “Despite Marigold being a Hollywood film, its music is a complete mixed bag because the movie is in a Bollywood setting and since Salman Khan plays a choreographer in the film, the music had to have pace and also a lot Indian elements, which would appeal to a world audience,” says Ehsaan Noorani.

The music for the film was composed three years ago, but the music directors are in no doubt that the music still sounds as fresh, although they do wish that if it was composed in today’s times they could have used some advanced technology.
