Big Pictures forays into Gujarati films with Dholi Taaro Dhol

Mumbai: After exploring interests in the Bengali, Tamil and Telugu film industries, Big Pictures has forayed into the Gujarati film industry with Dholi Taaro Dhol Waage.

The film has been directed by Govind Patel and stars Upendra Trivedi, Naresh Kanodia, Roma Manek, Nishat, Kesha, Ishwar and Reena. In the first phase, the film will be released in over 40 centres in Gujarat on 28 October making it a special Diwali release. In the second phase, the film will be released in the overseas market along with second run centers in Gujarat.

Post the release of Amdavad Palanpur via Kadikalol, Dholi Taaro Dhol Waage is the next directorial venture of Patel. Patel said, "I feel fortunate to be associated with Big Pictures, as my film is being promoted and released in a deserving manner."

Commenting on Big Pictures entry into Gujarati films, Reliance Big Entertainment president Rajesh Sawhney said, "Cinema speaks a global language; a good film holds no language barrier. Dholi Taaro Dhol Waage not only brings Kanodia & Trivedi on screen together for first time but also the romantic couple of Gujarati film industry; Kanodia & Manek. Kanodia said, "I have always loved sharing screen with Manek. As Dholi Taaro Dhol Waage brings us back on screen after five years, we are looking forward to a great response from audiences."

The movie is a saga of passion for dhol and love.
