MUMBAI: Pune-based Bramha Builders’ M K Agrawal is diversifying into films. By 2007, Agrawal is planning to release five films with an investment of Rs 150 million (Rs 15 crore). The first three films will be in association with Radha Pushpa Entertainment.

His first venture with producer Sumeet Chawla and director Sunil Tiwari titled Kahin Hai Woh… Aas Paas – a murder mystery, is complete. The film introduces Raj Samra (Deol’s cousin) as one of the leads. The film also stars Meghna Haldhar, Sumeet Chawla, Neelam, Mukesh Tiwari, Sonika Gill and Vishwajeet Pradhan.

The second untitled film is more than 50 per cent complete and is again directed by Sunil Tiwari. The third one was launched recently in Mumbai. Bobby Deol and Abhay were the special guests of honour and came to wish their cousin Raj Samra.

Samra says, “I already have two films to my credit. though they are not in the regular stream of cinema. One is an English film Silent Tears directed by Rajinder Purewal. It was on the issue of AIDS and shot entirely in Vancouver. Then I did a Punjabi film Rishtey, which was shot in Calgary.”

Samra plays a club singer in Kahin Koi Hai Woh… Aas Pass.

Agrawal says, “Movie business is growing rapidly. I am not producing these movies but presenting and financing them. We plan to sell them to one distributor, preferably the corporates who will release them worldwide.”
