Cinemax hosts third annual Marathi Film Festival

Mumbai: Cinemax is hosting the third annual Marathi Film Festival to be held from 26 September to 1 October. Movies like Tingya, Valu, De Dhakka, Saade Maade Teen will be screened amongst others.

The Cinemax Marathi Film Festival will screen six popular Marathi Films daily at 8 pm. The closing ceremony will be held at Cinemax, Sion on 1 October at 7 pm where Marathi filmmakers will be felicitated.

Cinemax India senior vice president Devang Sampat said, "We have always been an advocate of quality cinema. This is the third consecutive year that we are holding Marathi Film Festival and we are honored to be the only multiplex in Maharashtra doing so. We have always received fabulous response from our patrons and thus tried to show the best movies during the festival. We feel that Marathi Film Industry will finally begin to get its due recognition as multiplex players such as Cinemax  make the best of Marathi films available for our audiences. This will surely offer a boost to the industry encouraging Marathi filmmakers to make movies with new concepts and issues. It is Cinemax’s ongoing endeavor to promote the best in entertainment and this film festival is another step in the same direction."
