Cinemax launches multiplex in Kerala

MUMBAI:  Cinemax, has launched its first multiplex in Kochi, Kerala. With this launch, Kerala gets its first ever and only multiplex till date. Cinemax at Oberon Mall Kochi was launched with a special screening of the Malayalam film Thantonni with the entire cast and select guests. The lead actor of the film, Prithiviraj inaugurated the 4 screen multiplex. 

 

With the launch of this property, Cinemax now has 94 operational screens and is poised to take the count to 100 with its forthcoming launches in Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Baroda. The property in Oberon Mall- Kochi, will be the second property of Cinemax in Southern India after its launch in Hyderabad.

 

The Cinemax at Kochi will host a total of 634 seats with 4 screens. (Screen I capacity – 158 patrons, Screen II capacity – 117 patrons, Screen III capacity – 168 patrons and Screen IV capacity- 177 patrons). The multiplex will also host 14 recliner seats.
