MUMBAI: In a bid to attain a greater share of the movie-goer pie, Cinemax is set to launch its eleventh theatre facility in Himmatnagar, Gujarat.
The theatre called Cinemax Starcity is said to have the capacity to seat 1146 and contain three screens and will be launched on 27 April, 2007.
The multiplex will also host shows and events in Gujarati to suit the preferences of all its patrons.
Starting this week, the multiplex’s two screens (with a capacity of 470 patrons and 388 patrons respectively) will be open for regular viewing, while screen 3, with a capacity of 288 patrons, will be opened to public with Spider-Man 3, which is slated for release on 4 May 2007.
Cinemax India Ltd vice president marketing and programming Devang Sampat said, “With Cinemax Starcity in Himmatnagar, we are aiming to make a grand entry into Gujarat, which is a very important market for us. We are here to provide the movie enthusiasts of Gujarat a state of the art entertainment complex as entertainment and comfort are the hallmarks of Cinemax and will be for years to come.”
