MUMBAI: Producer Anjum Rizvi has moved on to a new distribution company for his latest release, Fast Forward. After his fallout and subsequent patch up with UTV Motion Pictures, the producer has signed Cinevision to distribute his film, which will release on 7 August.
Rizvi’s much acclaimed film, A Wednesday, was sold to UTV after the film was completed. The film won many awards after the film was critically acclaimed and became hugely popular with the multiplex masses. However post that, a huge rift happened between the duo. Rizvi did take the film company to court to settle the financial dispute. However Rizvi clarified to Businessofcinema.com, "Everything has been sorted out and the dispute is resolved. But for my latest film, Fast Forward, Cinevision will be distributing it."
Moving forward, Rizvi has also completed the shooting of yet another film, Flat. Flat has Sanjay Suri and Jimmy Shergill in the lead. The supernatural film is in the post production stage and is expected to have an October-November release.
The producer is also in talks with his A Wednesday director to make another film. After the success of the Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher starrer, the director has become much in demand, but he is willing to wait until he has a good story to tell. Rizvi said, "There is time for that movie with Neeraj. It has to be special."
