MUMBAI: Compact Disc India will be launching its animation film on football with legendary Brazilian football player Pele at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
The festival is slated to be held from 13 – 24 May, 2009. The animation film on football will be launched on 14 May.
Pele will also participate in a local youth / school football team charity match besides addressing a press conference. He will also introduce the writer, director, music composer and animation director of the film to the media.
Post the press conference, Pele will join cocktail and dinner at a beach venue. The president of FIFA is also likely to join this event, wherein Pele will handover signed copies of his autobiography and the No 10 jersey, caps, football to guests.
Pele is the executive producer with CDI for the movie. CDI also has the rights to develop games and merchandising prime licensing. The Brazilian Company that holds the worldwide rights to license the Pele brand has signed this contract agreement on behalf on Pele.
