MUMBAI: Producers Sanjay Dutt and Sanjay Gupta have signed on Deepak Tijori for their next film, a comic caper tentatively titled Hamari Maange Puri Karo.
Sources say Tijori has already received the official signing amount from Dutt on the sets of Apoorva Lakhia’s Shootout At Lokhandwala, when Dutt was shooting for the film.
Tijori is elated to join Dutt and Gupta, and says his association with Dutt goes back a long way when the two featured together in Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak. Gupta adds, “We are proud to have Deepak on board. His contention is that we should stop making dark films and make some that will make money for us, and I completely agree with his thinking!”
