MUMBAI: Deepak Tijori has been roped in by producer Gordhan Tanwani to direct his next venture.
The proposed film will star Dino Morea and Jimmy Shergill, and will be made under the banner of Baba Films. Tijori’s last directorial venture, Tom Dick And Harry, was a commercial success for producers Surendra Bhatia and Sudhir Kumar.
Says Tijori, “The film is yet untitled, a musical love story – a genre I have not handled earlier. My last movie Tom Dick And Harry was a comedy, Fareb was a murder mystery, Khamosh … Khauff Ki Raat again was also a thriller and Oops was based on reality. This film will not be a usual love story. I have always been lucky for my producers as a director and I always make the films within budgets that benefit them. The rest of the cast will be finalised soon, and the film will go on the floors in mid February. It’s a medium budget film, and will be shot in and around Mumbai.”
Tijori has so far acted in around 40 films, produced two- Oops and Khamosh… Khauff Ki Raat and directed four films – Tom Dick and Harry, Fareb, Khamosh… Khauff Ki Raat and Oops.
