MUMBAI: Publicity designing company Marching Ants Advertising has leaped into film production. Marching Ants Advertising creative director Rajeev Chudasama, Marching Ants Advertising marketing director Joy Ghoshal and Bollywood photographer Subi Samuel have launched a creative content production company christened Alchemy Studios.
 
Samuel and Chudasma will even direct a movie each for Alchemy Studios. Commenting on this initiative, now Alchemy Studios director Joy Ghoshal said, "Alchemy Studios promises to do justice to the designation of Creative Producer. Our mission is to back our content with innovative marketing practices aimed at consumer and trade."
 
To begin with, Alchemy Studios will ready two medium sized Hindi feature films in 2008. The first one being a romantic comedy titled Season’s Greetings directed by Fight Club director Vikram Chopra. It will go on floors in July end and will be shot in Cape Town or France. The second movie is an action comedy titled The Hit, which will be directed by Chudasama. The principal casting of both films is underway and nearly complete, details of which would be disclosed at a later date.    
 
For the year 2009, thee projects are under development, one of which will also be Subi Samuel’s directorial debut. The others are a superhero film and an adaptation of an international bestseller book. Going forward, the company plans at producing three films annually.
