MUMBAI: After a gap of 24 years, Dharmendra will be teamed up with dream girl Hema Malini for a comedy film to be directed by Mahesh Manjrekar.
Titled Hum Aisa Hi Hain, the film will be produced by Pritish Nandy Communications. Sources in Manjrekar’s camp confirmed the news, adding that a younger pair in the film will be essayed by John Abraham and Bipasha Basu.
“Mahesh Manjrekar first convinced Hemaji and after her assurance, asked Dharamji who instantly said yes,” says the source. Dharmendra and Hema Malini were paired in 26 films, starting with Seeta Aur Geeta in 1972, followed by Charas, Sholay, Chacha Bhatija, Aas Paas, Dream Girl, Alibaba Aur 40 Chor and many others.
