MUMBAI: Birthday boy Ehsaan Noorani (of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy fame) is eagerly awaiting the release of Farhan Akhtar’s Don, for which the trio has composed the music.
Currently basking in the success of Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and the music of Don, Ehsaan has his fingers crossed on the success of Don, which is due for release on 20 October. The music has already become a hit with the songs steadily climbing the charts to the No 1 position.
“Success of Don will be my best birthday gift, what more will I expect. But I wish my birthday brings good luck to the entire team connected to Don and I am also hoping that the music of Don continues to be a success even after the release of the film,” says Ehsaan.
With some modern sounds mixed with contemporary musical scores, retaining the old theme while giving it an urbane twist, the Don soundtrack is fast gaining in popularity.
Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy’s assignments in hand are Salaam E Ishq: A Tribute To Love, directed by Nikhil Advani starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna, Juhi Chawla, Govinda, Sonali Bendre, John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra, Sohail Khan, Ayesha Takia, Vidya Balan, Perizaad Zorabian, Anjana Sukhani and Shannon Esrechowitz.
Apart from this the composers also have Aamir Khan’s Taare Zameen Pe, starring Aamir Khan to be directed by Amol Gupte and Sajid Nadiadwala’s Hey Baby starring Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Boman Irani and Vidya Balan and Marigold: An Adventure In India, directed by Willard Carroll starring Salman Khan.
