MUMBAI: Veteran movie stars Sharmila Tagore and Shashi Kapoor were felicitated with the Living Legends of Entertainment award at the closing ceremony of the 10th FICCI FRAMES media and entertainment convention.
While Kapoor couldn’t attend the awards night due to poor health, Tagore was present to accept the honour. Tagore made her debut in the film industry in 1959 with Apur Sansar.
Tagore said, "It has been a wonderful and positive relationship between me and my colleagues in the film industry. The love and appreciation we get from the audience is very heartening. When we perform there is a hush on the sets and the entire crew collectively works so that the actor can give his or her best performance. When our movies release, the actors are appreciated but I think due credit should also be given to all those invisible people like the make-up man, hair stylist, light man, camera crew and spot boy who relentlessly work behind the scenes to make us look good on screen."
