FICCI FRAMES to be opened by Sachin Pilot on 23 March

MUMBAI: FICCI FRAMES 2011 will be inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Communications and IT Sachin Pilot in Mumbai on 23 March, 2011.

The three-day event will be attended by international celebrities such as News Corporation chairman and chief executive Europe and Asia James Murdoch, who will deliver the keynote address at the inaugural session. The valedictory session on day 3 will be attended by Hollywood star Hugh Jackman and Aishwarya  Rai Bachchan.

As part of FICCI FRAMES 2011 Specials, structured one-to-one pre-fixed business meetings are planned between Indian and foreign delegates. The European Film Financing Roundtable will feature a two-hour in-depth presentation, consultancy and analysis by Finance Consultant Juliane Schulze of Peacefulish, Germany. The session will have a detailed presentation on European film financing covering the core European markets on topics such as treaties, EU funding, national and regional funding, specialized funds and cash rebate.

Workshops will also be held by The Freeman Group head David Freeman. He is slated to hold a screenwriting workshop presenting precise techniques to make characters unforgettable, realistic and emotionally layered.

FICCI FRAMES 2011, will also present the first-ever FICCI-NASSCOM Game Developers’ Conference on game development. It will include CEOs’ panel discussions, keynotes and tracks on game programming, design and art.

The inaugural session of the event will be addressed by High Commissioner of Canada to India & Bhutan Stewart Beck; FICCI president Harsh Mariwala; FICCI Entertainment Committee chairman Yash Chopra and FICCI Entertainment Committee co-chair Karan Johar.

Keynote addresses will be delivered on day one Star India CEO Uday Shankar; India Today group chairman & editor-in-chief Aroon Purie; NDTV chairman & wholetime director Prannoy Roy and TV 18 Group founder, editor & MD Raghav Bahl.
