Film festival on disability held in Delhi

Mumbai: WeCare recently organized a Film Festival, held in Delhi, in association with Asian Academy of Film &Television and The World Bank.

Socio-cultural organization Brotherhood has also been organizing various orientation, interaction and association programs to bridge the gap in perception between children with disability and other children in schools since 1994 through the Orientation, Interaction and Association Model (Oia Model).

Present at the WeCare film festival were Ambassador, Embassy of Israel Mark Sofer, Lead Social Protection, The World Bank Philip O’Keefe, Asian Academy of Film & Television chairman Sandeep Marwah, as the guest of honor and actor, director, and cultural activist MK Raina and Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment addl. secretary Dr. Sundeep Khanna as the chief guest.

The festival had 47 films from all over the world out of which four films of one minute were previewed at the inaugural function. Dr. Khanna expressed his desire to take the festival of films on disability all over the country, just to make India a better place for these people to live. Marwah appreciated his initiative and proposed to promote the festival through Noida filmcity
