MUMBAI: Sahara One Media and Entertainment’s Hindi movie channel Filmy has bagged two Gold awards at the Promax & BDA Asia, 2006 Awards that were held in Singapore.
The channel, launched in February 2006, bagged the awards for the Best Movie Promo for Hanuman and the Best Comedy Promo for Ek Lallan Anek Lallan.
The channel has also recently launched Firangi Filmy, a slot for Hollywood films dubbed in Hindi, presented by stand up comedians Sunil Pal and Raju Srivastava.
It has also announced a line-up of films such as Khosla Ka Ghosla, Gangster, Corporate, Tathastu and Bas Ek Pal, to be telecast on the channel soon. Filmy also introduced the Filmy Stock Exchange, which is touted as India’s first virtual exchange, trading Bollywood stars.
