Fox postpones release of Abhishek Bachchan’s Dum Maaro Dum to April

MUMBAI: Fox Star Studios has postponed the release of Rohan Sippy’s Dum Maaro Dum starring Abhishek Bachchan to 22 April, 2011.

The movie was earlier supposed to release on 4 February on the eve of Bachchan’s birthday. Bachchan essays the role of a fearless cop in the film.

"The film has shaped up very well and the audiences should get ready to enjoy a gripping, moving film with great visual appeal. The colors, feel and sounds of Goa are further complemented by music composed by Pritam and lyrics by Jaideep Sahni," said producer Ramesh Sippy.

"We are in the midst of researching the film amongst various target groups and are excited with the response that we are getting. It has a great script, it’s vibrant and contemporary, and we expect the film to appeal to the multiplex and single screen audiences. Since Easter is a big holiday weekend, it will provide a great release window in India and across international markets," says Fox Star Studios CEO Vijay Singh.

Dum Maaro Dum also stars Bipasha Basu, Rana Daggubati, Pratik Babbar and Aditya Pancholi in lead roles. Dum Maaro Dum is written by Shridhar Raghavan and co-produced by Ramesh Sippy Entertainment and Fox Star Studios.
