Fox Star Studios India to end 2010 with three movies

MUMBAI: Fox Star Studios India will be ending this year with some much awaited films like Unstoppable, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and Gulliver’s Travels.

Unstoppable is an action film, which will hit theatres on 26 November. The film stars Denzel Washington and Chris Pine and trails a rail company’s frantic efforts to prevent an unmanned, half-mile-long freight train carrying combustible liquids and poisonous gas from wiping out a city. The film will be dubbed in Hindi as well.

While December marks the return of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The third part of this series will be up for release in 3D on 10 December. The movie will be released in India with approximately 1000 plus prints across multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Directed by veteran filmmaker Michael Apted, the film sees Edmund, Lucy, and their cousin Eustace Scrubb swallowed into a painting onto a Narnian ship headed for the edge of the Narnian world.

Finally, ending the year would be Gulliver’s Travels, a film based on the 18th century novel of the same name by Jonathan Swift. This 3D live-action family adventure film directed by Rob Letterman will be releasing on 31 December. The plot centers on Lemuel Gulliver, a free-spirited travel writer who, on an assignment to the Bermuda Triangle, suddenly finds himself a giant among men when he washes ashore on the hidden island of Lilliput, home to a population of industrious, yet tiny, people. The film stars Jack Black as the title character and will also be dubbed in Hindi.
