MUMBAI: The recent blockbuster My Name Is Khan will soon be dubbed in German and Turkish and will also be subtitled in Polish.
Shah Rukh Khan’s My Name Is Khan, which made $19 million in its opening weekend worldwide, will be released in two phases. Phase one saw the release of the film on 12 February across 40 countries, while phase two stars from March to June and will see the movie rolling out in 25 non- traditional countries.
Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, Fox Star Studios India CEO Vijay Singh said, "In March we will be releasing the film in Poland with 50 prints. The film will have subtitles in Polish and in May the film will be released in Germany and in that particular market dubbing is what works better than subtitles therefore we will be dubbing it in German and Turkish."
The movie is directed by Karan Johar and stars Kajol opposite Shah Rukh Khan. It has been co-produced by Dharma Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment and distributed worldwide by Fox.
