MUMBAI: Goa will be hosting the Tri-Continental Film Festival 2008 from 25 – 30 July.
The festival is being held in collaboration with the Goa International Centre, Moving Images Goa and Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG).
Approximately 21 films from Asia, Africa and America will be screened at the festival. A total of 135 films were submitted.
As per a PTI report, the theme of the festival is based on human rights violation.
The first festival was held in Argentina in 2002. The aim of this festival is to bring human rights awareness amongst the commonest of the people.
