Goldstone inks content deal with Echelon Studios

MUMBAI: Internet Portal Television (IPTV) provider Goldstone Technologies has entered into an agreement with Echelon Studios to boost its video library content for its video-on-demand customers.


 



Los Angeles based Echelon Studios acquires and distributes filmed entertainment worldwide. Echelon Studios will now provide Goldstone Technologies with more than 3,500 video titles to be offered to its subscribers. These include movies, cartoons and sitcoms.


 



The agreement with Echelon is for a period of five years on a revenue sharing basis. It will substantially boost Goldstone’s existing library of movies and other video content.


 



Goldstone will offer the movie-on-demand services along with IPTV service initially, in India and Asia Pacific countries like Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Hong Kong and Singapore.


 



Echelon Studios president and CEO Eric Louzil said, “We are very excited to embark upon this road and believe that with our titles and Goldstone’s technology, we will enrich the viewing experience of independent film lovers worldwide.”


 



Goldstone Technologies chairman Nandan Kundetakar added, “We are walking on the path we had clearly chalked out, by increasing our presence in the global market, step by step. Tie-up will give us access to huge quality, video content and will definitely help us boost vide-on-demand subscribers.”


 



After acquiring Hindi and English film titles, and aiming at other languages such as Chinese, Goldstone will now be one step closer to accomplishing its goal of being an impeccable video on demand provider to the millions of home viewers worldwide.


 



Recently Goldstone Technologies has had a similar understanding with home entertainment company Shemaroo, for having access to more than 600 Hindi and other Indian regional movies and other video content.
