Mumbai: Himesh Reshammiya and Sameer have bagged two prestigious films down south- Kamal Haasan’s Dasaavataaram and Singeetham Srinivasa Rao’s 3-D animation film Maya Bazar.
Dasaavataaram is being made in Tamil and Hindi and Sameer will be penning lyrics for the Hindi version which is called Dus Avtaar. The Telegu version of 3- D animated Maya Bazaar is also going to be dubbed in Hindi.
Sameer said, “I am also doing one more called Cheeni Kum which stars Amitabh Bachchan and Tabu. This film is being directed by Balakrishna (Balki) and the music is by Ilayaraja. The songs have already been recorded for this film and I must say that the songs are very nice and so is the film”
He further added, “We will be recording one song each for Dus Avtaar and Maya Bazar in this month and then Himesh has to leave for his world tour so the remaining songs will be recorded in September.”
Sameer has also penned lyrics for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya which incidentally happens to be his 500th film in 25 years of his career in film industry.
