MUMBAI: Prime Focus has snapped up the Delhi-UP rights of Mahendra Dhariwal’s Nehle Pe Dehla for Rs 25 million (Rs 2.5 crore).
The company is also the presenter of the film. Navkar Finance has already acquired Mumbai territories for Rs 45 million (Rs 4.5 crore). Nehle Pe Dehla, earlier scheduled for a 23 February 2007 release, will now be released on 2 March, 2007.
“Nehle Pe Dehla will be released with more than 70 prints in Delhi-UP circuit on 2 March. I think one and half months is the right time period necessary for the publicity of the film. I have already finalised deals with other distributors, but I can only disclose their names next week,” says Dhariwal.
Nehle Pe Dehla has been directed by Ajay Chandok and stars Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan, Bipasha Basu, Kim Sharma, Mukesh Rishi and Shakti Kapoor. The film has been made on a budget of Rs 180 million (Rs 18 crore) and will be released with 100 prints in the Bombay circuit.
